1K Hotel (Paris)
Previously named the Murano, this boutique hotel has been totally renewed in 2014 to become the 1K Paris. Located on the noisy Boulevard du Temple, at the frontier of the Marais, the hotel’s entrance is quite discreet so be careful not to miss it ! The new version boasts a totally different style: more ethnic, more casual, more intimate. Aiming to be the haven of the South American culture, the warm ambiance of this region of the world is well represented through the mix of vibrant blue, red and yellow colors. In the basement is hidden a great speakeasy bar, the Mezcaleria, which concept has an underground and offbeat spirit. At the entrance of the bar, visitors are greeted by an impressive Lucha Libre wrestler statue while the inside is décorated with illuminations, a spectacular suspended cross and eccentric skulls. This unsual and warm Mexican atmosphere will definitely offer you a change of scenery.
