For those missing the crazy burger they ate in New York or the best carrot cake of their life they tasted in L.A. last year, Rachel’s Cakes will find a solution. First, let me tell your their success story. It all started when, five years ago, Rachel and her two flatmates were making US pastries and cakes in the little kitchen of their flat in Montreuil. A few months later, Rachel’s cakes– the company name– started distributing their burgers, bagels and cookies to a number of restaurants, hotels and food trucks. Noting their growing popularity, the three founders ended up by opening decided their own spot in the heart of the Marais at in late 2014. Since then, anyone can enjoy the freshly made and original US dishes. Must-haves include the chocolate and cheese cakes no to mention the Po’boy sandwich with breaded shrimp, okra and smoked cherry tomato that is a wonder. The staff is lovely and has a very American style as it is probably the only one in Paris to ask clients if everything’s ok.
